IKEA Family Advent Calendar – Key Visual, Print & Online Application

1The Challenge
IKEA Austria wanted to emotionally engage its Family members in time for advent – with a tangible advent calendar in the mailbox that continues to live in stores and online. The requirements:
- A key visual that works consistently across all touchpoints
- A complete print suite: advent calendar, flyers, and in-store material for the stores
- Animated banners for the digital companion communication
- An online application that works in Austria and Switzerland alike
- Delivered on brand – inside the IKEA cosmos between warmth, family, and „God Jul"
2Our Solution
We crafted the entire campaign universe – from the initial idea to the very last in-store display. The key visual served as the visual anchor for all subsequent materials.
The print suite included the advent calendar itself, sent to more than 200,000 IKEA Family members, plus flyers and in-store banners for the stores. In parallel, we produced animated banners for digital promotion.
The digital centerpiece was an online application, designed jointly for IKEA Austria and IKEA Switzerland – sharing one design language but with localized content and mechanics.
