As an e-commerce consultancy, we wanted to showcase what's possible with modern technologies through our own website. The requirements:

No WordPress – maximum performance and security without plugin dependencies
Internationalization with German and English as main languages

2Our Solution

We chose Next.js with the App Router – the most modern React-based solution for performant websites. Unlike WordPress, Next.js offers:

Server-Side Rendering (SSR) and Static Site Generation (SSG) for optimal loading times
No database dependency for simple hosting and maximum security
TypeScript for error-free, maintainable code
Tailwind CSS for a consistent, responsive design

The website is fully internationalized with local URLs (/de-AT, /en-GB) and automatic language detection. All content is optimized for search engines with Structured Data, dynamic meta tags, and perfect Core Web Vitals.
